Brace yourself for the timeframe around the U.S. mid-terms….

The above chart illustrates the Nasdaq 100 index. This index was created and launched January 31, 1985. At that time, heliocentric Venus was at 1.00 degrees latitude; Mercury was -5.00 degrees latitude.

To re-fresh your memory, here is what latitude is:

Project a plane in 2-dimensions out into space from the midpoint (equator) of the Sun.

Next, remember that each of the planets orbits the Sun following a 2-dimensional plane of motion. These planes are NOT parallel to the plane created by projecting the Sun’s midpoint. Therefore, the difference between these planes and the Sun’s plane is called “latitude”.

W.D. Gann (and others from his era) said to take note of the latitudes of Mercury, Venus, and Mars at the IPO date (or first trade date) of a stock or commodity. Future events when said planets pass these natal latitudes should be watched carefully. But there is more…. It is also important to watch the inverse of the latitude event. That is, let’s say that at an IPO date a planet was at 1.00 degrees latitude. One must be alert to future events when said planet passes 1.00 degrees latitude. This is a “parallel” event. One must also be alert to events of said planet passing -1.00 degrees latitude. These are “contra-parallel” events.

In the case of the Nasdaq 100, one must watch for Venus passing through +/- 1.00 degrees latitude and Mercury passing +/- 5.00 degrees latitude.

October 28, 2026 will have Mercury passing -5.00 degrees latitude. Expect some sort of a price reaction (maybe bullish, maybe bearish) on the Nasdaq 100 index. Whatever happens will have spill-over effects on other global indices.

What is significant about October 28?, you ask. Answer – the elections in Israel. Enough said….

Early November will have Venus passing -1.00 degrees latitude. Expect some sort of a price reaction (maybe bullish, maybe bearish) on the Nasdaq 100 index. Whatever happens will have spill-over effects on other global indices.

What is significant about early November?, you ask. Answer – U.S. mid-term elections. You can let your imaginations run wild as to what may happen. In the extreme, I read this morning on an email that I get from a financial writer that Trump will attempt an insurrectionist move that will make the January 2021 Capitol Hill mob event look mild by comparison. As I say – let your imagination run wild…

As subscribers to my bull, Bear & Planets newsletter will tell you, I use the techniques of 1930s trader George Bayer to help me navigate the markets. On the above Nasdaq chart I have overlaid the projections (red and green lines) for his Rule 10-A and 11-A. These projections land squarely at November 2-3. Further evidence that something is going to happen. Again- let me be clear…what lays ahead could be bullish or it could be bearish. I will watch the trend oscillators (Price Percent Oscillator and RSI Stochastic) to see what the trend is doing…

Thanks for taking the time to read this post….Have a great day…

PostHeaderIcon Gold – Late March 2026

(This post initially appeared on tyhis website on March 22, 2026)

Gold – the safe haven – has been more volatile than ever. However, the general trend does remain bullish. The following chart has been fitted with Jupiter quantum lines. As at March 20, the quantum line at $4600 was providing underlying support.

Gold follows a 243-day larger cycle and a smaller 58.65-day cycle. Recall that 243 days is the axial spin time of Venus and 58.65 days is the axial spin time of Mercury. A Bayer Rule 11-A projection from late January points to the last days of March. A Bayer Rule 10-A projection from the March 2 pivot points to the first week of April. The 58.65-day cycle is due to end/start again at the end of March. Another Bayer Rule 11-A projection from late January points to the last days of March.

Pay close attention to the events that are immediately ahead of us. It is hard to see through the mixed messages coming out of Washington. However, cycles and tools like Bayer projections can help cut through the confusion. Something is about to happen. It could be a positive development or it could be something worse….

What Happened Since

Late March gave a swing pivot low and a brief recovery. However, the recovery failed in early April and sent Gold prices to the $4000 level. The end of the 58.65-day cycle in early August gave a buying opportunity, but this rally too failed at a Bayer’s Rule 10-A projection from the June 29 low. From the swing point in mid-August Bayer’s Rule 10-A and 11-A projections are pointing to mid to late October for the next pivot point. Watch carefully. The current 58.65-day cycle will be ending in early October (next week).

Jupiter quantum lines continue to act as support and resistance. Here and now, Sept 29, the underlying Jupiter lines is being severely tested. A failure of this line to hold will bring the $3950 level into focus.
